Risk Disclosure

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Digital Edge Lab

This Risk Disclosure summarizes some of the key risks of trading futures, options, and other leveraged instruments. It does not describe every risk. Read it carefully, in full, before you use any strategy, tool, or lesson from Digital Edge Lab (“DEL”) with real capital.

Substantial Risk of Loss

Trading futures contracts and other derivatives involves a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You can lose all, or more than all, of the funds you deposit to trade. Prices can move quickly and unpredictably against a position, and no strategy, indicator, or educational framework — including anything taught on Digital Edge Lab or produced by the Edge Engine — can eliminate this risk.

Leverage

Futures and many derivatives are traded on margin, meaning you control a large notional position with a relatively small amount of capital. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses: a small adverse price move can produce a loss that is large relative to your account size, potentially exceeding your initial deposit and requiring you to deposit additional funds on short notice.

Most Day Traders Lose Money

Published studies of retail day trading accounts consistently find that most day traders lose money over time, and that a small minority achieve consistent profitability. Nothing about using Digital Edge Lab — including completing lessons, passing quizzes, reaching a skill tier, or using the Edge Engine — changes these base rates or guarantees you will be among the minority who is profitable.

Prop-Firm Evaluations Are Not a Salary

Proprietary trading firm (“prop firm”) evaluation programs, funded accounts, and similar offerings referenced on Digital Edge Lab are third-party products, not offered or endorsed by DEL as a source of guaranteed income. Evaluation fees are typically non-refundable, most participants do not pass evaluations or do not remain funded, drawdown and consistency rules can end an account without warning, and payouts (where available) are discretionary and subject to each firm’s own policies. Do not treat a prop-firm evaluation as a job, a salary, or guaranteed income, and review each firm’s own terms directly before paying for an evaluation.

Only Risk What You Can Afford to Lose

Only trade with discretionary capital you can afford to lose in full without affecting your standard of living, obligations, or financial stability. Do not trade with rent money, emergency savings, retirement funds, or borrowed money. Position size, stop placement, and overall risk management are your responsibility, and you should define your own risk limits before placing any trade.

No Guarantee of Results

Any statistics, hypothetical examples, backtests, or Edge Engine outputs referenced on the Service are for educational illustration only and do not guarantee similar results in live trading. Hypothetical performance has inherent limitations, including that it does not reflect actual execution, slippage, fees, or the emotional impact of trading with real capital. See our Educational Disclaimer for additional detail on how our educational content should and should not be used.

Seek Independent Advice

If you are unsure whether trading futures or leveraged products is appropriate for you, consult a licensed, independent financial or legal professional before risking capital. Digital Edge Lab is not that professional and does not provide that advice.
